## Accpac, Sage 300, or Something Else? We Know Them All.

This software has gone by a lot of names over the years. Depending on when you first installed it, you might know it as:

• **EasyBusiness Systems** — the original name, developed by Basic Software Group in Vancouver (1976)

• **ACCPAC Plus** — rebranded in 1987; became the leading accounting software in North America

• **CA-Accpac/2000** — the first Windows version, released in 1994

• **Accpac Advantage Series** — introduced new architecture and online capabilities (2001–2003)

• **Sage Accpac ERP / Sage ERP Accpac** — after Sage Group acquired Accpac from Computer Associates in 2004

• **Sage 300 ERP** — rebranded in 2012 to align with Sage’s international product portfolio

• **Sage 300 / Sage 300 Cloud** — the current names; Sage 300 Cloud refers to the subscription-based version, while Sage 300 ERP covers both perpetual and subscription licenses

## ⓘ Sage 300 ERP vs. Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate

There are two products that share the “Sage 300” name — and they are completely different software platforms:

• **Sage 300 ERP** (formerly Accpac) — accounting and ERP software for small to mid-sized businesses across a wide range of industries. **This is what PC Methods supports.**

• **Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (Sage 300 CRE)**, formerly Timberline — project accounting built specifically for construction and real estate. This is a separate product with a different codebase. **PC Methods does not support Sage 300 CRE.**
